Industrial subcontractor for more than 60 years, we have a solid technical know-how allowing us to offer you a complete range of services (bending, cutting, mechanical welding, large dimension machining, heat treatment, painting and assembly) combined with lifting capacities of up to 200 tons of indivisible mass and a high-performance machine park. As a true partner of our customers, we are able to adapt to any type of project.

Located in the heart of Europe, in France and a few km from the German border, we benefit from a privileged geographical location.
In collaboration with our customers and partners, our sales teams and shipping services combine expertise and responsiveness for the transportation of parts weighing several hundred tons worldwide.
In particular, the route is clear for exceptional convoys to Northern European ports via the Rhine ports.

About the group
SMI Drulingen, formerly Sotralentz Metal Industries, joined CMO Obernai in 2017.
Founded in 1996 in Obernai (Bas-Rhin), CMO Obernai is specialized in the production of mechanically-welded assemblies and large-sized machined parts. Among its customers are companies involved in the design and manufacture of public works equipment, cranes, energy production, and machine tools.
The strength of CMO Obernai lies in its ability to machine workpieces up to 24 meters in length and 110 tons in weight. Its proximity to the loading station for heavy packages of 450 tons located in the port of Strasbourg is an additional asset.
In addition to bringing together very large-capacity industrial resources, this merger also sealed the meeting of teams with industrial know-how and several decades of experience in the manufacture of heavy boilermaking products.
